Group F Outlook - France, Germany, Portugal & Hungary
Looking at the member countries of Group F, I doubt my eyes. France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary. Literally a group of death.
France has participated in 8 tournaments for the 10th time in a row. France won the 1984 and 2000 tournaments, advanced to the finals in the previous tournament, and was unfortunately runner-up after losing to Portugal. It is currently second only to Belgium in the FIFA rankings. Definitely one of the winning nations.
In qualifying, he fought in Group F, 8 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. One loss was against Turkey. 25 goals and 6 goals.
In the previous tournament, France lost to Portugal in the final while holding it in my own country and wept. The main members such as Griezmann, Pogba, and Mbepa who won the 2018 World Cup tournament remain the same. There is no doubt that he will be involved in winning this tournament as well.
Germany is a powerful player who has won the championship three times in the past for the 13th time in 13 consecutive tournaments, but is lacking in 12th place in the current FIFA rankings.
In qualifying, Group F had 7 wins and 1 loss, 30 goals and 7 goals. The only defeat was 2-4 to the Netherlands. He overtook the Netherlands and advanced to the main race in 1st place.
Germany are trying to shift to a team centered on young people, and stars such as Kimmich and Werner have also been born. It will be the last big tournament for Reeve, but can Germany display the beauty of excellence?
Portugal achieved the long-awaited first victory in the previous tournament. This is the eighth time he has participated in seven tournaments in a row, but after the golden generation with Figo and others, he has become a regular nation that has advanced to the top. 5th in FIFA ranking.
Although Portugal was in Group F in the qualifying, Portugal did not perform well with 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss, 22 goals and 6 goals. It is clearly second only to Ukraine, which is inferior.
In the last France tournament, Portugal fought against the host country France, and Ronaldo, an ace, left the pitch due to an injury on the way and won at the end of the extra time.
There was a previous reputation that veterans such as Ronaldo and Pepe and young players such as João Felix could be combined to win consecutive championships, but the result of the qualifying was betrayed. Is it possible to rebuild by the time the main race begins?
For Hungary, it's a combination that can only be said to be unlucky.
Participated for the 4th time in 2 consecutive tournaments. In qualifying, Hungary finished 3rd in Group E with 4 wins and 4 draws, 8 goals and 11 goals. Even so, Hungary defeated Bulgaria and Iceland in the playoffs and decided to participate in the main race.
Under the Italian coach Marco Rossi, Hungary is trying to switch to aggressive football. Currently 37th in the FIFA rankings.
Still, in the match between Portugal and France, Hungary can play in Bucharest at home. Anyway, if Hungary can concentrate all our efforts on these two games, Hungary may see the light of hope.
France and Portugal are likely to break through the group of death.
But Germany has had some results no matter what the team is in. Moreover, one of the venues for this group is Munich.
For Hungary, it will be difficult to break through the group stage unless there is a great deal of happening.
